The Setting
THE MEZ
TOLEDO, OHIO
This design was built around contrast.
Vibrant chartreuse met deep wine tones, black details, and soft candlelight. Sculptural anthuriums and untamed stems brought movement to the table while miniature lamps added warmth and intimacy.
Against the exposed brick of The Mez, every element felt modern, artistic, and slightly unexpected.
The Story
COLOR
WITH CONFIDENCE
Chartreuse set the tone with a color choice that felt fresh and unexpected. Black details gave the table structure. Deep burgundy glassware introduced a richer layer of color.
The florals were designed to feel organic and sculptural. Anthuriums rose above the table while delicate stems created movement throughout the arrangement. Nothing felt overly arranged or traditional.
Miniature lamps brought a warm glow to the table. Dark taper candles added height and drama. As the room became darker, the lighting changed the entire feeling of the design.
The final tablescape felt intimate, artistic and slightly moody. Bold enough to make a statement. Refined enough to let every detail have its own moment.

The Portraits
ROMANCE,
REIMAGINED
IN COLOR.
The couple brought the final layer to the design.
Surrounded by candlelight, texture, and dramatic florals, the setting felt personal and editorial. A reminder that romance does not have to be soft or traditional to feel timeless.
